This is a great trail but very long. I would suggest starting at the forest entrance at Ballinvally as it would considerably reduce the length of the trail. Well worth checking out though. Avoca itself is a lovely little village.

The start of this walk is quite difficult to find and there are no signs or markers. It actually starts up a lane at the left side of the Avoca Community Centre. Was surprised to find that approx half of the walk was on public roads and the last two kms were on quite a busy stretch leading back to Avoca. Scenery is beautiful though and Avoca is a charming little village.
