On the N81 about 3km south of Hollywood take the left hand turn signposted Drumreagh. Follow this road, keeping left onto the Hollywood Glen Rd. to the forest entrance. Parking for 4-5 cars. Start up the forest track keeping right at any junctions in the forest track (3 in total). After the 3rd, the path winds gently upwards for 1km to a 90º right hand turn. At this point there is a track through the trees up to the summit or continue on the forest track for 2.3km around the mountain to the barrier. At this barrier, on the right is a 1km track that runs straight uphill along a fence to near the summit. Cross over the heather to the remains of the large cairn and trig pillar. Take in the views from the top, West Wicklow, Blessington Lakes, Kildare, etc. When heading back, take a NW direction along a well worn path to the forest edge. A trail through the forest along a stream bed brings you back to the previous path with the 90º turn. Continue down the previous path to the 3rd junction and this time take the right hand track and follow for 1km to meet up with the road again. Follow back to the forest entrance. About 10km in total.
