Beginning at forestry entrance at ‘The Scrouty’, Clashroe, Portlaw this walk takes you through a section of Portlaw woods. This walk is predominantly a woodland walk but does take in some quiet roadway. Having reached the furthest point of the woodland walk a right turn will bring you onto a tarmac road and a steep walk will lead you to Clonegam Church. The present Estate Church of Ireland building in Clonegam was built in 1741 on the site of an earlier ancient Church. From here there are spectacular views of County Waterford’s iconic Comeragh Mountains and Curraghmore Estate.
