Most of the walk is now laid out with protective planks making the going very easy until the short scree section at the very top. Gorgeous views on a clear day, well worth it.

One of the toughest walks I have ever done. Constant steep climbs and steep descents. Allow 7 hours and have a good level of fitness before attempting. The mountains are not that high, just over 700m but you start at sea level!
This looped walk starts off in Clifden and brings you South to Lough Fadda then turns South-West through 'The Bog' a collection of various sized but generally small 'lakes'. Eventually you hit Ballyconneely where you turn North to finish off the loop.
